The Interface section of the menu deals with the system's ability to produce external transactions using Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), the creation of External System Interfaces (ESI) files which allows flattened data files of popular sets of data to be exported.and the ability to send XML documents directly to Trace Register

EDI enables users to:

How EDI orders are actually processed into sales order or purchase orders is covered in more depth in the Sales Orders and Purchase Orders sections of this manual.

Data can be exported for use in other popular programs, such as Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel via the ESI function.

The system also uses a proprietary service named NetConnect to interface with other external systems, such as the UPS World Wide Shipping system, FedEx, and DHL next day freight system.

The system can be configured to automatically send XML trace documents to Trace Register that link your lot traceable information for shipments to your customers to the source lot traceable documents from your vendors when both subscribe to the Trace Register service. See Trace Overview and Interface Options for more information using the enhanced source product attributes for Trace reporting . See www.traceregister.com for more information about the Trace Register service
